| If you've listened to WaYfm in the past two weeks, you may have noticed a new voice on the night show. My friend George Moss has taken over and I'm looking forward to hearing him put his own spin on the show. I'm choosing to step back from WaYfm to focus on my growing voiceover business full-time. There's been a lot of thought and prayer that went into that decision but I feel I'm being led into a new season of life. For now, you'll still hear me on WaYfm Saturday's from 10 am - 2 pm and Sunday mornings 7 until 11. Meantime, this Xanga might be going away soon but if you'd like to keep in touch, feel free to visit my website and send me an email or visit my blog there. Thanks so much for your support of the show for almost three years now. A lot has happened in that time and I really appreciate you listening and making the show what it was. Peace. | | |
| I believe everyone at one time or another, thinks about what it would be like to know you're going to die within months, or even weeks. For me, I'm embarrased to admit that these thoughts are often selfish as I wonder who'll take the time to stop over and share a memory or perhaps call me to say hello (or maybe goodbye) one last time. Sure, it might be a happy time, thinking about the blessings I've recieved during my time on earth and knowing what awaits me after I leave it. But I'm not quite sure that I'd have what it takes to be as upbeat and positive as the guy in the video below is. He's a 47 year old professor at Carnegie Mellon University, quickly dying of pancreatic cancer. Hearing what he has to say in his final public lecture is well worth the time and will also offer some light into the title of this blog. There are some golden nuggets of humor and inspiration, as we are offered a glimpse into a man truly going out with a bang. Click here to watch. | | |
| WaYfm's Mike and Rich have been spending time 40 feet off the ground in a lift since 6 am today. They're being held hostage until you get them down! To help, just make a pledge at 1-888-383-3688 or login to www.way.fm. You'll be supporting WaYfm's continued presence in West Michigan with Commercial Free Hits. And helping a couple of good guys get home a little sooner. :) See pics and pledge at www.way.fm and if you're in the area, make sure to honk or wave! In K-zoo - Rich is in a lift at the Wings Stadium parking lot overlooking I94. In GR - Mike is chillin with the birds at M-6 and US-131. | | |
| A smudge of driveway sealant said to resemble Jesus Christ's face has fetched over $1,500 for a Virginia family that found the image on its garage floor. The slab doesn't cry or change appearance. Or look like Jesus. Some are saying Fidel Castro. See it for yourself. | | |
| Came across this and thought it was amusing. Especially the creepy laughing guy in the video at the end. --- The hottest new health fad in India is people simply laughing at each other. People claim that the laughing helps them feel less stressed and relieves everyday ailments. In fact, membership of early morning laughter clubs in the Indian city of Pune is booming with two new clubs forming in a matter of two weeks. Most clubs run sessions from six in the morning with breathing exercises, calisthenics and then 15 minutes of laughter. Their members are convinced the laughter is making an impact on their physical and mental well-being. ***MARLAR: So if you feel better from listening to my show, now you know why. If you don’t feel better after listening to my show… now you know why. (Creepy video illustrating this story = http://blogfiles.wfmu.org/KF/2006/05/laughing_yogi.mpeg) | | |
